Things to Do

Walking - There are many walks in the area taking in the countryside and the coastline, some walks can be started from Little Coombe or a short drive away. A great day’s walking can be had on Dartmoor which is approximately 45 minutes away.

The South Hams - There are many interesting villages within a short drive of Little Coombe, Dartmouth is less than 10 minutes away with Totnes being 20 minutes away. The A38 is 25 minutes away providing access to both Plymouth (45 minutes), Exeter(45 minutes) and Dartmoor (45 minutes).

Beaches - There are a number of beaches close by with Blackpool sands being 10 minutes away and the beach at Torcross being only 15 minutes away.

Boating - Boat hire (sailing/motor) with Dittisham Boats (owned by us) is available in the village of Dittisham as is sailing tuition if required.

Other activities -

There are a number of other activities available nearby which include the Steam train from Kingswear to Paignton, Steam train from Totnes to Buckfastleigh. Pleasure boat trips on the River Dart from Dartmouth to Totnes.

Golf at the nearby Dartmouth Golf and Country club, Woodlands leisure park for the children, Paignton zoo and the Plymouth aquarium are a short drive away.
